Baseball & July 4th Weekend
Josh LOVES the Red Sox and they just so happened to come play the Rockies this summer so of course we had to go.
Lyla gave dad a baseball outfit for fathers day, here she is sporting the "daddy's home run hero" outfit
4th of July downtown Denver- Symphony in the Park and then fireworks shooting off the county building with a light show on the building
Lyla and dad matching for church on the 4th. I made the onesie and shoes and added on a strip of matching fabric on the skirt, it was fun to be festive for church
July 5th everyone had off work so we went to Estes Park for the day and walked around Bear Lake. Here is Josh scaling the wall...with flip flops, he was super high.Wednesday, June 23, 2010

The Move
We recently moved to Colorado for an internship that Josh got at the department of securities downtown Denver. It just so happens my parents live 20 minutes from Denver so we moved in last week and have been taking over the house with all of our stuff!

Mother's Day
It was a great first mothers day! I woke up to Lyla handing me my favorite thing in the world- See's candy. They were even all individually picked out to make sure I loved every piece, and I did, it was gone by the end of the day, haha.
Being a mother is the best thing in the world. I know, everyone says that, but it really is. I wake up every morning smiling knowing I get to spend the day with such a sweet little girl who I love so much. Don't get me wrong, every day isn't just a bundle of happiness and and ease, but all the hard work is definitely worth it. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and daughter. Thank you Josh (and Lyla) for making my first mothers day so special :)

Shoes & A Cutie
I can't find any shoes to fit Lyla's long and super skinny feet so I decided to make some of my own! I got this cute pattern from a friend at work before I left and finally got around to making them and I love them.
I just might get addicted to making lots of them since they are so easy and you can make them super cheap and whatever patterns/colors you want!

9:30pm-6am
That's right people, Lyla slept her first full night, from 9:30-6. Yes, you read that right, she is not even two months yet and SHE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! Only those who have seen Lyla's sleep schedule, especially during the day, can realize how amazing this truly is. We went from last week of eating at 9:30pm, 1am, 4am, 6am and then up after that and slowly we have eliminated the two middle feedings and it has been amazing. I attribute it all to the Baby Whisperer (a book by Tracy Hogg) which helped me get her taking naps during the day to longer than 15-20 minutes at a time to usually an hour to 2 at a time and to get her sleeping through the night. It felt so nice to get up and see that clock show 6am instead of 1am or 3am. Whew! I LOVE my sleep, so this is going to be a nice change around here :)
AND A BIG THANK YOU TO MARISSA GWILLIAM FOR TELLING ME TO READ THE BABY WHISPERER, I OWE HER A BIG ONE!
