Ugly Sweater Christmas Party!

We hosted an ugly Christmas Sweater Party this year and had a blast

Here are our amazing sweaters, home made by me. Josh's is even better if you could see it in real life because he has Christmas lights poking out of the tree. And did you notice my fab ornament earrings?! They were straight from the tree....

Jenn in her sexy pose, that sweater brought out the confidence in her
Not sweaters, but definitely ugly shirts...that came straight from Daren's closet
Rhett had a sweater on that he actually wore about a week before to dinner, haha

We ate soup and salad and then played some minute to win it games!
Oreo cookie face! Get an oreo from your forehead into your mouth, no hands. Heather is the only one that completed this challenge!
One of my favs, we called it the panty swing, haha. Pantyhose over your head with rice in the bottom to get some weight, and knock over full water bottles by swinging your head around. This was hilarious to watch
Booty Shake, try to get ornaments out of a tissue box on your booty
Transfering M&Ms with a straw, harder than it looks
Separating M&Ms by color
Stacked ornaments in margarita glasses, 4 glasses tall. I am the only one who completed this one, woohoo!

It came down to a TIE, Harris vs. Green's, the tie breaker was the Rudolph nose transfer
With vasoline on your nose, you had to transfer pom poms from the chair to bowl, most pompoms wins

And the winner IS....
The Harris'....Josh is handing over the prize, which was a $20 gift card to the movies, we were so close to winning, dangit!

This is what Brooke did after getting bored
My creative dessert, the brownie Christmas tree! It was so much fun to make and I think it turned out pretty cute.

Getting ready for Christmas

We kept up the tradition of getting a real tree again this year. It just brightens up our little apartment and I can't resist the yummy smell of it all month long.

Lyla just watched us decorate the tree from her jumper this year but loved every minute of it and couldn't take her eyes of the tree, she thought it was so much fun.

Blurry, but Josh is letting her touch one of the ornaments

She didn't quite notice the tree (meaning try to destroy it) for about 3 days. Then I watched Claire Barney and she showed Lyla the ropes on how much fun the tree could be!

For our last year here at Gonzaga we got in our Christmas gear (mostly just Lyla) and took a pic in front of the school sign

Lyla got her first present from Gma Roskelley and loved opening it. She got a Christmas book and her First Christmas ornament!
Can't wait til Christmas...only 4 days away! Yikes, better get shopping

Carriage Ride Downtown

One of the first weeks of December we went downtown to catch a free carriage ride with our friends. It goes around downtown and shows off the lights for about 15 minutes.

After the ride caught a family pic in front of the horse

The Days. Brookie looks ticked because its cold and isnt sure what we are doing, ha

Barneys havin a good time!

Harris' enjoying the ride

The gang. We were the only ones on the ride and sang Christmas songs the whole way, it was a lot of fun. Afterward we went to Red Robin and stuffed our faces, we were all starving.

Thanksgiving

For some reason I have a ton of pictures of our trip to Utah for Thanksgiving, but none of us actually eating turkey dinner...but here are some things we did besides eat!

We were there for my side but the Green's were there also visiting Kurt and Wendy, so we saw them a few times. Went to Boondocks with the bro's and soon-to-be sister in law

Got our laser tag game-on
Then we went out to lunch to Iggy's

All the cousins got to play together, they loved it

Havin fun in the tub!

Went to jump on it, Sadie's favorite place and she showed off her flips. And yes, she is only 4 years old!
The sweetest little babies ever! Still can't believe how small Lyla is, and how BIG Crew is!
Lyla absolutely LOVES her Great Aunt Cindy. She got spoiled with new toys to play with and even someone to play them with her.
Learning from the master chef on how to make my first apple pie

Went for a ride on the suitcase because we got bored in the airport

Was a great trip and was so much fun seeing everyone. Thanksgiving dinner was at Penny's house and was delicious, can't believe i dont have a pic of that amazing food.

Gettin Into Things

Now that she's on the move she has found everything she can to get her little fingers on!

Top L: Found dad's books and chewed on them Top R: Pulled tissues out of the box and ate a few Bottom L: Love to pull the DVD's out Bottom R: The basket of diapers is the best!

And her newest face: the scrunch my noes and squint my eyes look
She does this just about 10 times a day now, she just randomly started doing it this last week, not sure where it came from

Fall & Halloween

Happy Halloween! We had a great time this year. Sunday was actually Halloween, but we celebrated on Friday with a party at the Border's house and then Saturday at the ward trunk or treat
At the party. Cow, duck, and farmer! And yes, I made my costume, it took forever to cut and sew on each spot!

Have to see the side view of the "duck butt"

Some of the people at the party. We ate lots of food, then played games and told scary stories

A few weeks ago we went to pick apples & check out the pumpkins up at Green Bluff.

Ly got to get on her first tractor. Just after this picture she leaned over to suck on the steering wheel, the true test of anything new is to eat it!
Ly got her apple

Lyla Video

So it only took me about 2.5 hours since I had to learn how to use the software, but I made my first video, and of Lyla of course. One week later she is officially crawling and already getting into everything. Here is the youtube link to the video:

Josh's Bday

Almost forgot to post Josh's 29th Bday! We had a fondue party with friends and had a great time. It was an all out dinner with cheese fondue, meat, and then chocolate and caramel. Oh so delicious and fun.

I got Josh an MP3 player since the last one he had was misplaced...

Ly's new toy

Grandma felt Lyla needed a new toy, and so did mom, so we agreed upon this crazy jumping machine. She loves it. And you can hear her say "dadada" at the end.

Cuteness

Got a new outfit from Gma Roskelley, its definitely one of my favs right now. Bring on the cold weather so we can get out the cute sweaters, jackets and hoodies! Thanks grandma for the cute outfit :)

Gma Visits

Gma Green came to visit. She brought us our new car (post on that to come) and we took her to Manito Park since it was such a beautiful day. Other than that we mostly hung around the house since it was General Conference weekend

A flower thats almost twice the size of Ly's head!

We had a good time in the great weather and also had a picnic there
