Last Weekend

I didn't ever update from this last weekend, so I thought I would do it now. On Friday we got together with friends and played a game called Headbanz. Its kind of like 20 questions where you guess a random person place or thing. But the coolest part is that you have to wear the thing you are guessing on your headband.

Saturday was a day of apron-making for me and studying for Josh. We also had a BBQ at the Harris' and then went to the temple that evening. The Spokane temple is pretty small, but it was so pretty. We had a great weekend.

And as a random note, whatever happened to the 80's plastic baby bike seats? You never see them around anymore, and they were so cool. The trailer is all you can buy now which is like 5 times the price, weight and size. Lame.

Apron #2

So I gave this apron away for an auction we are doing at the school I work at, but i loved the fabric! I hope whoever buys it will love it. But, good news, I will start making them for those who want one! They are $25 each and I will mail it to you. The shipping is included in the cost. Just let me know what colors you want or what type of pattern I will get it to you in about a week. All I can take now is checks, unless you have a better idea of payment? I am just starting out slow and hopefully by the time Josh graduates I can have a more stable business going for when I'm a mom!! Thank you all for your support :)

Day of Love

Well, since I'm spoiled I actually got TWO days of love. V-day Eve, Friday, I came home to beautiful flowers and got to go out to dinner at a place of my choice, which was Applebee's. Valentine's Day morning...

Breakfast in Bed. Crepes, Bacon, Blackberries, Hot Choco. My fav. Excuse the scary pic of me, I just woke up.

Ice Skating in the park in downtown Spokane

An amazing candle-lit dinner by my husband

We went to the movies afterwards, which we were going to stay in and watch a Red Box but my dad sent me a card with $20 to have fun with, so we decided to go out. Thanks Dad. We saw He's Just Not That Into You. It wasn't very good, I'm sad we wasted the money going. But I do have $4 of it left and will make sure to use it towards a new pair of shoes which I'm sure will be a lot less disappointing.

Guilty Pleasure

I don't know why, but I love this show and I am addicted to it. I am so voting for Jillian. She is the best, and has the coolest family. You know you want to watch it. Just in case, its on ABC, Monday nights.

What's Wrong With ME?!

So, I always joke about this, but I'm really starting to believe it now. Since I got married I have turned into a major lame-o when it comes to being sick. I used to rarely ever get sick, no matter what it was. I would always joke about how my friend Jenn would get sick all the time and be sick forever, and now it's happening to me! Before I got married, I got one cold a year, stayed up until wee hours of the morning and was up ready for school with no problems, and just repeat it again the next day, I also rarely ever got headaches. Now, not only do I get headaches, I get terrible migraines, like once a week nevertheless, which make me throw up they hurt so bad and I have to sleep for hours and take meds to make them go away. I also am exhausted at the end of each day and am usually getting about 7 hours of sleep, which is way more than I used to get with no probs. I get like 3 colds a year, that last over a week. And out of all things I have developed eczema on my hands in the winter and my fingers got so bad they were practically raw and I also have two different creams to put on them. I mean seriously, I am 23, not 53!! I'm not sure what to do with myself, but I am really getting tired of it and not looking forward to growing older, and also having to deal with all of this crap while taking care of my kids/family.

Now, I know this is just a post of complaining, but the only thing that I can think of that has changed since I got married is that I have a spouse, which still never gets sick, and I work in childcare. So, this does bring on stress, colds, and exhaustion, but that is not a good enough excuse for me. But, if you are actually still reading this, thank you for letting me get it out, and any suggestions on a healthier me would be appreciated!

APRON!!

So I felt this needed its own post...bumbadabum...I finished an apron! So really its been done for a long time, but it was for a present and I didn't want the person getting it to see it before Christmas, so I didn't post, and then, well, I just haven't. But here is a picture of it. I feel it turned out pretty cute since its my first one I have ever made. YES...
It is also lined with pink in the back and has a big bow. I should have taken a picture of the back of it, oh well, next time.

Just More Blogness

I haven't updated for awhile, there hasn't been too much to update, but there are a few things. First of all, Josh and some buddies from law school have put together a intramural basketball game through Gonzaga and have played two games so far. They have matching jerzee's, orange slices and drinks provided by me, and even a sign, but for some reason they don't quite have the game yet, we are still rooting for this weeks game to be a win.

He is #5. For some reason my camera sucks at taking any pictures where its semi-dim, which seems to be 90% of the time. Lame. Maybe in 3 years when I can actually afford an SLR....

We also went to a superbowl party with lots of fun people and ate ourselves crazy and of course watched the 3D commercial at half time with the 3D glasses.

Josh's dad came to visit and check out Spokane, since the last time he saw it all he saw was a million boxes flowing into our apartment. He was his typical self and spent his whole time helping us do things that we just don't have the money to do, like fixing Big Red. Big Red is now working like a charm after being out of order since before Christmas. We also made our kitchen the dentist sink and the couch the dentist chair and he helped Rhett with a broken retainer. Thanks dad for all your help and willingness to support us in everything!!
