McKay at 4 Months

4 Month Check-up:
13 lbs (25 perectile)
26.7 in (95 %)

*Poor little guy isn't getting enough milk I don't think. He has only gained 2 lbs in 2 months and dropped from the 65th perc. Starting to supplement with formula asap
*Also got his first cold, his red eyes and little cough are so sad and is not sleeping well day or night
*On a happier note, he found his toes! Not quite chewing on them yet, but grabs them a lot
*Has rolled over a few more times belly to back and once from back to belly
*Still smiling up a storm
*Is really happy when he's happy, and really ticked off when he's not
*His head is getting a little flat in the back, more tummy time in the near future!
*Is taking 1.5-3 hr naps. Very rare that its 3, but on average 2
*Still wakes up 1-2 times a night, hopefully with formula supplement that will decrease soon
*Loves to grab anything within reach including hair and faces
*Lyla still loves to talk to him and kisses him constantly. She gets excited to see him when he is awake and says "shh..you ok?" when he starts to fuss
*Size 2 Diapers
*3-6 month clothes. All his jammies are 6 months because he is so LONG
*Nicknames: Precious Peanut, Mac Attack, Macky, Mackster, brother, Mac
*His right eye tear duct is still plugged up and makes his eye goopy, not fun, but at least his left one is good now, so hopefully the right will clear up soon too

Lyla brought all of these stuffed animals over so that Mac could play with them :)
His towel looks like a little shark mouth, so precious

One Year

One year ago we were here, doing this:

I can hardly believe that it has been an entire year already.
I think it has been the fastest year of our marriage!

We have enjoyed living in Utah, and being closer to family,
but we both really miss these crazies:

Life just isn't quite the same without them

Cuties

Lyla sure loves her little brother. She always wants to help mother him and is pretty sweet with him most of the time. When she wakes up in the morning I will bring him in and her eyes just light up and she says "Mmaaaccc" and gives him a big kiss and hug. She likes him to lay in bed with her for a little while too
I love this picture because she is just loving that he is in her bed and he is looking up at me like "Mom, are  you going to save me?! My sister is attacking me with hugs and kisses!"
He is really loving grabbing his toys or anything within his reach these days. He is getting more interactive and its fun to watch him growing and learning more every day

Cute Cousins

We gave this picture to my mom printed on a canvas for Mothers Day.
Are they the cutest little cousins or what?!

Bath Time

These two took their first bath together last night. We were cracking up because the water was a little high and Mac is so light the Bumbo wouldn't stay down in the water. So Mac was just bobbing around in the water and looked so cute. Lyla loved having him in there and thought it was so much fun.

Mothers Day

I sure am a lucky woman to be the mother of these two cuties
I got breakfast in bed. Stuffed french toast with strawberries on top, thick cut bacon and orange juice. Then a rare occasion happened, both kids just sat and cuddled with me for a few minutes.
Most days of motherhood are long and hard, but rewarding. Today I really tried to just enjoy every cute and sweet thing that they each did and soak up the joy that they bring to my life.

After church and naps we headed over to Wally's for our first Mothers Day together as a family in a long time. My mom was in heaven to have all the kids and grandkids together for the special day. We had dinner and then went to roast marshmallows in the woods.

I am lucky to have a mother who loves both me and my children so much. I can't help but call her and always tell her all the cute things the kids are doing and she is always excited to hear about it. She has been a wonderful mother and I am thankful for all that she has
done for me over the past 26 years!

Flowers

I have decided to make our little porch a little more chipper. It needs it, bad. So I decided to get one of my favorite flowers, Gerber Daisies (also was the flowers at our wedding) and put them on the shelf outside the kitchen. I love seeing them out the window and brighten up my day a little bit each time I look out there.

I made the flower box, with a little help from Dad, and tried to make it look a little shabby chic by sanding the edges and corners but didnt quite turn out, but by that time I really didn't care that much anyway, it still serves its purpose

Work Trip to DC

Josh went off to Washington, DC for a conference/trade show type thing for work this past week. So yep, its true, I survived 6 days alone with the kids, its almost a miracle. It was nice that my parents were here already though and they helped out a lot by keeping me busy and feeding me dinner every night!

These two pictures are the only ones Josh got of the whole trip! This is their booth they set up to showcase the program that will hopefully be released by next year sometime. Even though he was in such a cool city this is about all he got to see since he was in this building all day, and at "networking" parties at night in hotels or other places.

I think me and him just might have to go back one day and check out more of the city!
