Lyla Mae

Mom made Lyla a new dress. She loves pulling on the bows and flower of course, its good entertainment for church

Worst poo-up-the-back we've had yet....

So we had a bath

Her new found love: splashing

Green Bluff /Bowl & Pitcher Park

Me and Ly convinced dad with our cute smiles to stay home from school last Saturday. We went to green bluff and picked blackberries.

Lyla Mae helped dad, she loved being outside

They were perfectly ripe and delicious
At the main house at green bluff we got some homemade boysenberry pie....

Thanks to some chubby little hands that grabbed the pie right off the table it ended up here, on dad's lap, plus on the ground. The old lady that works there saw it and brought another piece :)
We also went to Bowl & Pitcher Park, a cool little gem just about 10 minutes from our house
The rock in the middle looks like a pitcher, (with the spout on the side) thats how the park got its name

Can you find Josh?

Etsy Shop!

I am starting my own business of selling booties as a stay at home mom!
Check them out on my Etsy site above

Here are a few of the booties I make:

They are great for staying on those small little feet and I can make them from newborn to one years old. They also have a soft suede bottom for durability and style!

Trip to Seattle!

Took advantage of labor day weekend and went to Seattle with the Gwilliams (Josh goes to school with Aaron)

View of the city from across the bay. On the left you can see the space needle

Friday we went to Alki Beach just across the water from the city. We had a picnic there and played in the sand

Also went to Pikes Market on Friday. This is the shop where they throw the fish
The famous Market sign

Friday night we went to a Mariners game

This was Aarons first MLB game and was living in the moment by getting Cade & Conner some matching shirts and hats. They loved it

Saturday took the ferry over to Port Angeles. First ride for Lyla, and my second (first with actually driving ONTO the boat though!)

Went to Olympic National Park to claim our camping spot. This view was about 20 feet from our tent! So awesome. Nothing like a beach and mountains all in one

A cool view nearby our campsite

As the tide went in we went crab hunting with the twins

Got one! (Cade is holding up a crab)

Of course tin foil dinners that night
Went down to the beach at sunset

Sunday we went on a hike to Marymere Falls. Amazing nature and some huge trees!
Marymere Falls
Can't quite fit my arms around it....
Continued on from the falls to Rialto beach on the coast. Made a fire and had spaghetti for dinner made on our camping stove
Rialto beach. It was misty and a little mysterious
Rialto beach is only a short ways from Forks, WA so we had to stop by. We were disappointed with the lack of Twilight viewing
They even tore down the high school, but kept the sign for crazies like me who want some kind of Twilight memorabilia

We had a great time and are now in love with Seattle. It is an amazing city with awesome beaches close by. Thanks to the Gwilliams for hauling us and all of our crap in their suburban! They were so much fun and Lyla loved all the attention from the twins :)

Manito Park

Spokane I admit is not my favorite city, but one thing I love here are the parks. We went to Manito for FHE and caught everything in full bloom.

Back in Spokane

We have moved back to Spokane for our final year of law school! Josh is working at a law firm that keeps him very busy, taking classes, doing law review stuff, and looking for a job for after school (which is a job within itself!) So he is staying super busy and I am so greatful for all of his hard work for me and Lyla!

The first week we got back we got together with our friends and had dinner. It has been nice to have a group of friends that are all in the same situation, live close by, and great company! We will miss them a lot when we move for good

Took a pic of the babies close in age.

Here is the after summer:

McKaylee Day (born in April), Lyla (born in Feb) & Claire Barney(born in Dec)

And the before summer:
Claire, Lyla, McKaylee

They sure have changed in just a few short months haven't they?!

A few weeks after we got back there was a Relief Society Retreat up in the mountains about 45 minutes north of our house. We had a ton of fun with just the girls stayin up late and doing all kinds of different activities:
Made some bracelets
Karaoke- super blurry, but we had a ton of fun jammin out to 'Any Man of Mine'
Heather pullin a solo!

We also enjoyed sitting by the fire, jumping on the trampoline, games and just talking talking talking!

Lyla also got to finally move into her crib! She slept in a pack 'n play all summer and has been enjoying all the room in her crib and moves around like crazy!
