Took advantage of labor day weekend and went to Seattle with the Gwilliams (Josh goes to school with Aaron)

View of the city from across the bay. On the left you can see the space needle

Friday we went to Alki Beach just across the water from the city. We had a picnic there and played in the sand

Also went to Pikes Market on Friday. This is the shop where they throw the fish

The famous Market sign

Friday night we went to a Mariners game

This was Aarons first MLB game and was living in the moment by getting Cade & Conner some matching shirts and hats. They loved it

Saturday took the ferry over to Port Angeles. First ride for Lyla, and my second (first with actually driving ONTO the boat though!)

Went to Olympic National Park to claim our camping spot. This view was about 20 feet from our tent! So awesome. Nothing like a beach and mountains all in one

A cool view nearby our campsite

As the tide went in we went crab hunting with the twins

Got one! (Cade is holding up a crab)

Of course tin foil dinners that night

Went down to the beach at sunset

Sunday we went on a hike to Marymere Falls. Amazing nature and some huge trees!

Marymere Falls

Can't quite fit my arms around it....

Continued on from the falls to Rialto beach on the coast. Made a fire and had spaghetti for dinner made on our camping stove

Rialto beach. It was misty and a little mysterious

Rialto beach is only a short ways from Forks, WA so we had to stop by. We were disappointed with the lack of Twilight viewing

They even tore down the high school, but kept the sign for crazies like me who want some kind of Twilight memorabilia
We had a great time and are now in love with Seattle. It is an amazing city with awesome beaches close by. Thanks to the Gwilliams for hauling us and all of our crap in their suburban! They were so much fun and Lyla loved all the attention from the twins :)

Beautiful place the west coast is- so glad you got over to Seattle-the trip looked so much fun
favorite picture - Lyla sitting on the beach squishing sand in her chubby little hands
and I do love the one of you hugging the tree : )
done that many times myself
Great pictures! My post is still on it's way. We're a little behind on the blogging scene but it'll be up soon! It was fun with you guys and it was great looking back at the pictures. Wasn't it so pretty?!!! What more could you ask for? Besides...a bigger car. :) And a non-hormonal pregnant lady.
I will not comment; I am jealous.
