6 Months

Here is the belly at 6 months. And I look a little scary because the couch has been my best friend for almost 3 weeks of being sick with a cold. I'm starting to get a little better, meaning sleeping more than a few hours a night and lasting more than 10 minutes at a time without coughing. Pregnancy-wise though the baby is doing great and it's almost time to start buying prego pants! Uh-oh....

Bee Sting

As I drug myself out the door to church today with a terrible cough, sore throat, and sinus congestion I got in my car and felt a pinch on my arm. I looked down and on the inside of my upper arm was a bee, stinging me. I have never been stung before, it didn't swell up too bad or anything, I was just glad I was not allergic, that would have been even more fun......pregnant, with a cold, in the hospital for a bee sting. Whew! Maybe it was because I decided to go to church today :)

Fall Has Begun!

It quickly went from 80s to 30s here in Spokane in about a weeks time. We decided to go pick out our own pumpkins and apples to embrace the season.
It was freezing and windy, but we had a good time with the Swansons and Harris'.

Josh pickin apples. We made apple crisp, it was yummy.

After we went to the apple farm we went to another one to get pumpkins and got to see the punkin chunkin which shoots pumpkins out really far into the field.

It has been about 20 years since I picked my own pumpkin from a patch! I wanted the classic cute picture of us in the patch, and all I got was my hair sticking up from the wind and a silly grin from Josh, oh well. If you squint a little you can see my original vision for the picture op.

Josh's 28th Birthday

Another year has passed in the life of Joshua Green. On October 8th we celebrated his birthday by getting together at a pizza parlor called Shakey's. Pizza is his favorite and he loved it. Friends met us there and celebrated with us and then came over to our house afterward.

His request instead of cake this year was a fruit pizza, so here he is blowing out the candles.

Here is a better picture of the amazing pizza decorating skills of Heather and I

It's Official....

I have started feeling the baby. It started on my break on Tuesday and today she has been celebrating her daddy's birthday because she has been kicking nonstop all day! It's so cute to feel the little bumps here and there and makes it feel more real that there really is a baby in there :)

Conference Weekend

We had a great conference weekend! We watched it today, sunday, at the Massey's house with Julie (her hubby was out of town) and the law school bunch. We came in pj's and ate breakfast, watched morning session, then had lunch and watched the afternoon session.

During the middle of the two sessions we went out to their shop in the backyard and I saw the jeep of my dreams. Doors off, huge tires, black, lights on top.....I sat in it, hoping some day I will get to ride in it and also to own one in the future. I just pictured myself riding in it feeling the wind in my hair and going over big rocks and through mud puddles. So fun.

Also on friday I didn't have to work since they cut my hours, so I went to lunch with heather and jenn at Olive Garden. I got the normal fettuccine and it was so delicious. It was nice to get a glimpse of what it was like to have days off during the week. I think being a stay at home mom will be quite nice! We had fun gabbing away and then did a little shopping afterward. Girl time is needed every once in awhile and we had a great time.

Good news!!! I haven't posted about this for awhile but I have had NO migraines for MONTHS. This is amazing as I used to have them weekly. Pregnancy has been a wonder after the first few months of nausea. I have a fair amount of energy and haven't been sick. I am so happy and am not keeping my hopes up, but maybe after I have the baby it will continue, I'm crossing my fingers. :)

Baby Girl!

So we went to the ultrasound on friday and everything looked great! The baby is healthy and everything is normal. When she went to check the sex of the baby it wouldn't open the legs though, but the tech looked from the bottom and said she was 90 percent sure it was a GIRL. Josh and I were both very surprised and are still doubting it a little, we both were thinking it was going to be a boy. Next time we go in I am going to see if I can sneak in the ultrasound room again to get a better look and hopefully baby will be a little more cooperative next time!

She is very flexible, that is her leg stretching up over her body and you can see the little toes almost to the top of her head.

This is the bottom of the feet, I just thought it looked cute

A little blurry, but this is me at 5 months.
I have only gained about 6 pounds so far, not too bad.

Of course after we found out it was a girl I had to go buy the "first outfit" The jacket also has a little hood lined with pink and the hat is just so little and cute.
I can't wait to see it on her for real :)

5 More Days...

Only 5 more days (friday) until we find out if it's a boy or girl, we are SO excited!! :) Most people say its going to be a boy, any guesses?

Demo Derby Year 2

We went to the fair again this year and saw the demo derby, they are so much fun! We had several friends go and had a blast picking out which car was "ours" and rooting it on as they got demolished. Rhett's car won...but mine was only 5th place!

Here we are right before the race. Brooklyn (baby in red) loved it and clapped and laughed the entire time. She just turned one on my birthday!

There's "pink thunder", the car i was cheering for. Josh's is the orange one in the back, he was out in the very beginning.

I love it when the cars smoke. Not these two, but two other cars caught on fire, it was cool.

We walked around the fair before the derby and saw some of the animals there. There were cows, sheep, goats and horses. We also got food of course and some delicious huckleberry ice cream.
