3 Months

This little sweetheart is melting everyone's hearts.
*He smiles a LOT and so easy. You just look in his direction and he's bound to give you a sweet little smile.
*Loves to suck on his hands and fingers.
*Still eating about every 4-5 hours, even at night.
*Started grabbing for his toys
*Hating tummy time still, but is getting better at it and will do it for longer periods of time (like 5 minutes, ha)
*Rolled from his stomach to his back twice, but hasn't again yet
*Has serious old man hair syndrome with a comb-over and lots of patchy bald spots
*Loves watching his whirlwind sister
*Getting better at sitting in the bumbo without falling over
*Is very alert and loves to be facing out looking around. No more snuggles and cuddles from this little man
*Size 1 Diapers
*All out of newborn clothes, mostly right at 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6
*Wakes up about once a night, sometimes twice but goes right back to sleep after being fed. Hours of sleep are about 9pm-7am
*Hates being rocked, never calms him down. Usually bouncing and/or walking is what does the trick, and always swaddled with a binky
*Has cute little giggles when you play peek-a-boo or tickle his neck/legs

Outfits

Lyla has really been into changing her clothes, and then changing them again, ALL DAY LONG. She loves it. She will put on one outfit, then see something else and immediately take off the prior clothing item and replace it with the new one. This causes for clothes strewn about the house, all half dirty, and then ending up with a beauty of an ensemble like the one above.

And then she looks at herself in the mirror and says "oh tute" (cute)

Saying Goodbye to CO

I traveled to CO to say goodbye to my childhood home as my parents move to Utah in a week. It was sad to say goodbye to the only place that I called home. I had lived there since I was 6.

I had to take pictures of some of the little things that made it ours.

Here is a few wood posts in the basement that Wally and I marked our height and ages over the years

When I was a teenager I started getting into wanting to decorate. My mom let me pick out my first queen bed frame, bed spread, curtains and lamp. These are the curtains I picked out that matched both the bed spread and lamp. It was a really popular print at the time

This was still hanging on the wall behind the door in my room. One of the last things that was actually still on the wall since my parents had started packing everything up already. It reminds me of being a teenager and the great times I had in Young Womens. I had amazing leaders and will miss going to my "home ward" and seeing them. I was close with a lot of people in that ward.

Here is part of the back yard. I planted the "Christmas" tree in the corner there.

The back of the house. I love that Louie is peeking out the back door. He is going to be one lost puppy when they move away and he doesn't know where to scratch to go outside, that there isn't the perfect window to look out and bark and screech at the rabbits that run by the front yard, or where to bang the door that has his food in it telling us he's hungry.
McKay got to take advantage of their nice deep kitchen sink and take his first sink bath.
He liked it, as usual.

And one last sweet picture from the trip. Grandpa to grandson, just talkin about life

I will dearly miss this house. Not really the house, just the memories stored there.
A young couple moved in, their first home. I hope that they can continue to live their married life and raise children there adding to the memories.  Goodbye Colorado. Goodbye 9787 S. Foxhill Cir. Someday I'll come back and drive by just to say hello :) Until then, thanks for all the memories.

Easter

We started off the Easter weekend with dying eggs with the Nelson's! We had a great time chatting it up and having dinner and then tried to dye eggs with 2 two-yr olds and a 4 yr old :)

It was Lyla's first time dying eggs
Seeing how many eggs fit into one dye, haha

The Easter Bunny visited today and spoiled Lyla with a new bike! And her Easter basket is sitting on the seat with a little ladybug purse in it. She definitely got spoiled this year, but it was so much fun watching her get so excited about her bike when she saw it

Trying it out. We need to work on how to pedal still

For dinner we went to Aunt Penny's, had a delicious meal, and had an egg hunt afterward

We also played outside after the hunt since it was a beautiful 75 degrees today! These two little cousins sure love each other. Lyla is always wanting to give Crew lots of hugs
Not sure why the picture turned out glowing,
but still is an adorable picture of my two little cuties

Work and a Website

Josh brought to my attention that our blog has become "one of those blogs" where every post is about the kids and nothing else....i swore mine wouldn't ever turn into that, but its true, it has. So here is a post to break it up a little.

This should have been posted in January, since that's when he got the job, but Josh started working at a firm called JD Milliner & Associates. He is able to bring in his own clients and do work on his own under supervision of the main guy, but this gives him a lot more freedom than a normal firm. It is just what Josh needed and wanted and is helping him go in the direction of starting his own firm one day.

This is a picture of his first official case file :) Since then he has become quite busy with both business and bankruptcy cases. He also just got his website up live this week. It still needs to be finished and change some things on it, but its actually up and live and we are so excited!

Website: www.joshuagreenlaw.com

He also is still working for Darts IP and does that in between working on cases at the office. He is a busy man, but still makes lots of time for the fam and we are looking forward to bigger paychecks in the next few months so we can hopefully get out of this hole of an apartment!

I still can't believe I married a lawyer, I'm so lucky :) Isn't he handsome too?!

French Braids

It's true, I was able to get a 2 year old, a very squirmy 2 year old, to sit still long enough to do french braids. OK, so lets be honest here, she was not still AT ALL, but still enough to get them done, and although they are uneven and a little loose, I was still proud of my defeat.

McKay- 2 Months

It's true, it has already been 2 months that we have had this little sweetheart,
here is some of what he's been up to

-Smiles a ton and is making little squawks and squeals here and there
-Sleeps from about 10pm-8am with waking up about 1-2 times in between, usually only once lately. I usually "dream" feed him before I go to bed around 11.
-Takes ok naps, sometimes they are 45 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. A few times he has gone 3 hours, you just never know with him
-Gets the hiccups at least 3 times a day
-Is really starting to kick his legs a lot and pushes off anything that touches his feet
-Can hold his head up for the most part, but still needs a little help because he will hold it up and then gets tired and then flops around, haha
-Size 1 diapers
-Some 3 month clothes already!
-Has still survived his sister, even with one mishap of him ending up on the floor from the couch

2 month appt stats:
24.4 in (about 95th percentile), was 21 at birth
11.4 lbs. (about 65th percentile), was 8.3 at birth

Lyla was only 8.5 lbs at 2 months! I'm hoping we get even more meat on this little man and he can be our little chubber. I love me some chunky thighs and cheeks

Oh, and I am getting really good at exiting the house in a timely manner with both kids. I feel like its not such a tiring event anymore, and dont get me wrong, its still hard, but a whole lot easier and better than the first few weeks. We do run errands or go out to the park etc several times a week. I definitely attribute it to Mac being a good car seat sleeper though, so once we actually get out of the house it helps with making outings not so stressful.

Crew & Sadie's Party

One thing I LOVE about living in Utah- getting to see Wally and his family more often. This past Monday was Crew's 2nd Bday and coming up next week is Sadie's 6th. They had a combo party that was Mickey/Minnie Mouse theme, since Crew loves the Mickey Mouse Club House Disney tv show.

We had hot dogs (since they sing "hot dog, hot dog" on the show and Crew always sings along with it, ha), and everyone had their own mouse ears to wear

My favorite pic- Mac and Gpa wearing their ears, haha. Only my dad's grandkids can get him to wear mouse ears and look ridiculous for several hours and be ok with it

I was chatting away when they blew out their candles,
so this is the only picture I have of the birthday kids

It was so fun being able to celebrate with these two and Lindsey did a great job with adorable decorations with red and black and mickeys everywhere.
