Prego Pics

I haven't updated a picture of the belly lately, but my amazing photographer/friend Jennifer Clark took some awesome pictures of me when I went home. If you would like to see some of them they are at: http://sweetdisorderphotography.blogspot.com/2010/01/babies-babies-babies.html

Colorado Baby Shower

My Mom and best friend Jenn threw a baby shower for me while I was at home. I grew up in the same house in CO since I was 7 so there are still a ton of people there that I know well and miss!

Me and the shower throwers who did a great job!

Some of the decos in the dining room where food was brought out later. Great job mom on making it look so cute!

Jenn made some baby head pops from the Bakerella blog. They were made out of chocolate cake and frosting and were super cute and yummy! And displayed so perfectly on a fake cake!

Me, Jenn, and Alicia. Alicia just got back from her mission this past fall, it was great to see her again. The three of us hung out a lot together in high school and it's crazy to see us get older and do things we thought were so far away before.

As a group gift I got my baby bedding so I promptly came home and had Josh help me put up the crib so I could set it all up. More pics of the room to come. Thanks to my cousin Petra she got this crib from her husband's (Ed) cousin who was moving. She gave it to us for free when we were in CA for thanksgiving and Josh's dad brought it up with him on a snowboarding trip to Spokane this week!

Christmas in Colorado

Christmas was great this year! We went to CO for about 9 days and they flew by super fast. It was just Josh and I this year, Wally and family were in the middle of adoption stuff so they stayed home. But since it was just us we got super spoiled and had fun together.

It snowed several inches the day we got there and lasted the whole time so we got our white Christmas I am always wanting. It was cold, but we took Louie for walks to get outside.

Dad, Josh, and Lou- my 3 favorite boys in the world!

Christmas Eve tradition- to always drive around and see the lights. This is downtown Littleton, the picture doesn't do it much justice but it was cool. The best one was a house who had lights synchronized to music on the radio, and i've seen this several times, but this house was amazing and had lights changing colors and going all over, it reminded me of the Bellagio water fountain only with Christmas lights! I told Josh I so want that some day, ha.

Here is Santa himself, waiting for us to go to bed so he can put the presents out :) He is so patient with fulfilling our favorite tradition, to not put any gifts out until Christmas Eve after we are sleeping.

Christmas morning came, and with no kids we had to rely on entertainment and excitement from the dog. He loves to unwrap gifts, I know, crazy, but here he is helping dad get his unwrapped.

Louie also gets his own presents to unwrap, but was jealous of mom and dad's socks, his favorite thing to chew up.

We got tons of stuff! My coolest gift was a new mini laptop from Josh so I can have my own computer for when I start being a stay at home mom! Josh's favorite was guitar hero for the Wii, thanks to the rents.

After presents in the living room we go into the family room and do the socks. We get fun little gifts in them and of course candy.

Here is Louie trying to get on his "spot" which is the white blanket, but the presents were in the way. He was pooped after not being able to take his 10 naps a day because we were there making too much noise, poor puppy.

December Activities

At the beginning of the month we went to the "Nativities Around the World" exhibit at the stake center, they had 700+ nativities from all over the world. They also have concerts in the chapel from different groups around Spokane, we saw a gospel choir that was loud, boisterous and full of Amens and Hallelujahs. I felt like I was in a movie or something, they were fun and great singers!

One of the cute nativities

We got in the second row, so not a great pic, but shows part of the choir

Another December festive fun event was touring the lights around town like we always do, and took a free carriage ride around down town! It was my first carriage ride and I loved it, it was a lot of fun.

In the back of the carriage. They handed out candy canes and all the people on the ride (like 15 people) sang Jingle Bells

Tried to get the huge horses in the picture but it was raining a little so we were trying to be quick

Baby Shower #1

While in CA for thanksgiving I had my first baby shower! It was organized by my mother-in-law Connie and she did a great job with yummy food and a few cute games. We guessed how many jelly beans were in the bottles, filled out a baby trivia paper and guessed the size of my belly using string. I got lots of adorable clothes and Petra arranged for a new crib from Ed's cousin who was moving and didn't want to take it. I can't wait to put it up when Mike and Ty come up to visit in December and bring it with them!

This was taken after dinner at Aunt Carolyn's house in the backyard.

Here is everyone who came(except my mom who was taking the pic). It's so nice having both sides of family so close to each other!

Had to sneak in a picture of me and my mom who flew out just to see me and come to the shower. (and for thanksgiving dinner of course)

An adorable diaper cake that Connie made. It's hard to tell, but there are little baby booties that are very cute along with the stuffed animals around the outside. We took it apart before we went home and I couldn't believe I will really have a baby that will fit into those tiny diapers in only 2.5 months!

My eyes are closed but I love this picture because it shows Grandma Roskelley and Aunt Kathy cracking up over who knows what right before the picture. I love being around my family, they are crazy and loud and I love every minute of it.

Here are some of the cousins who came.

Thanksgiving

This year thanksgiving was in CA. We got in on Thursday and since we weren't eating with the Green's until Friday we stopped by the Roskelley side at aunt Carolyn's and snuck in some turkey and family love. My mom was also in town for the baby shower so we went to visit her.

The next day we went up to Chico to Aunt Evelyn's house for the official thanksgiving dinner. We had fun eating more delicious turkey dinner and visiting with the family.

The "kids" table

The "grown-up" table

Uncle Monty cutting up the turkey and the dogs just waiting for a piece to fall. I especially loved giving attention to the beagle who was 8 months old and reminded me of Louie.

Lion King

We went to Lion King on Saturday. We had bought the tickets this summer and have looked forward to it for months and it finally came. We absolutely loved it!! Great actors, great costumes and amazing music

We are still students and poor so we sat in the cheapest seats, the back row, but it was a small enough theater that it wasn't bad at all and we still could see just fine

Here's the gang we went with

Us inside, the screen to the right is the advertisement outside for the show.

Outside the theater with Rafiki who had an amazing voice and sang Circle of Life. It was so good.

Halloween

So it's practically Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to put up our Halloween pics. We went to Greg and Julie Massey's for a party and had yummy food and great fun! Everyone had great costumes and were very creative, check them out

We were white trash. It was perfect because I could hang out my prego belly, and I'm holding a cigarette with my coffee. You can't see the bottom, but I have slippers on and josh has Birkenstock sandals on with one green Christmas sock and one blue byu sock.

The Barney's pulled off yet another cheap last minute costume, the superheros. She is about 8 months prego here so has a B squared on hers.

The Days were people from the Night at the Museum, the security guard, Pocahontas and the little monkey

Harris', the old peeps, love the big butt

Swanson's were H1N1, eek!

The whole group. The Massey's live in a house instead of an apt so we actually got to see some trick or treaters this year, can't wait until we have our own house some day and get to see all the cute kids!
