Baby #2

Excited to announce the we will be welcoming baby #2 in January of 2012!

Already feeling like i'm getting bigger faster than with Lyla....

26th Birthday

I turned 26 this past weekend and to celebrate we started the day off by going to the Hogle zoo. The last time we were at this zoo was the day Josh proposed to me. It was a lot of fun to go back and this time have a little girl to watch get excited about the animals.

Baby Elephant, so cute

I love that you can see Lyla's little face in the reflection of the window with her amazed eyes looking up at the lemur

That evening we dropped Lyla off at Aunt Cindy's and went to Benihana's for dinner and then saw Larry Crowne at the theatre. It was a cute romantic comedy with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. We both really enjoyed it.

On our way home we picked up a piece of my favorite cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory in place of a birthday cake. It was a great birthday spent together as a family and I enjoyed being with Josh before he really hits the books for the last 2-week stretch before the bar.

Family Reunion

I am crazy and decided to take on the Roskelley Reunion this time. 48 out of 59 possible people attended. All of Ellis and Ardith's 7 children and their spouses, 19 Grandchildren (and spouses) and 10 great grandchildren. We missed Hans, Petra, Ross, Garrett & Jason (plus the spouses and children that go with them.) I would say it turned out pretty awesome and we all had a great time.

Everyone except Sarah & Richard who were MIA for the pic for some reason.

Day 1: Met @ park in Heber and had lunch & played water games after

We headed over to Heber Valley Camp after games. We played a game of volleyball while waiting for dinner.

Crew & Lyla were oblivious to the game going on and just wanted to dig in the sand while everyone played around them

Dinner then SMORES & funny family stories around the fire

Day 2: Bfast and headed off to do a challenge course

The zipline was the best part

Then we had lunch and rushed off to canoe and do paddle boats
That evening we checked out of camp and went to provo and had dinner in the park and had rubber ducky races down the creek next to BYU. Mine won :D

Day 3: Rested up, went to church, then met at Linda's for dinner

Played a mean game of Nertz

Ezra letting me know i'm too big now for the wagon...dangit
Great Grandchildren, minus Crew, and Eli snuck in there, who is just a grandchild

Played a trivia game for the older grandchildren about the fam and grandma

Day 4: Went to a really cool gymnastic place that has a ton of jumpin stuff and foam pits everywhere

Ened the reunion by going to Thanksgiving Point that evening for fireworks. The kids did sparklers while we waited
I absolutely loved the reunion and getting to spend time with everyone.
Can't wait for the next one!

Happy Father's Day

I am a pretty spoiled girl, and I blame it all on these guys:
I have an amazing dad who has shown me how to be a hard worker, honest, patient, a good friend to others, and most of all, unconditional love. I am such a lucky girl to have a dad who loves me so much and cares about me the way he does.

I am also so lucky to have a husband who is an amazing dad to our little girl. Lyla is such a daddy's girl and I know its because of the way he makes her feel. When they play together it is the cutest thing to watch how much Lyla enjoys being with her dad and he can always make her laugh, even when she is tired and cranky. Josh is always willing to help take care of Lyla and never ever complains.

Happy Father's Day to the two men in my life who I love very much!

Graduation

After three years of hard work Josh finally graduated on May 14th. It was amazing watching them come into the stadium and just feeling overwhelmed with emotions of happiness and accomplishment. Josh worked so hard and graduated Cum Laude.

He not only did school, extra curricular like law review and moot court, but worked, served in the church, and did an amazing job balancing all of that and still taking care of his girls! We are so proud of him and even though it was a crazy three years, we already miss it, and our friends :)

Below: Josh getting "hooded" which represents completion of a graduate degree

This is the amazing family that came for support, minus Tyler and Mike
who were MIA during the picture
Congrats sweetheart!

Went to lunch afterward, at a local restaurant called Prospectors with all the family that came
