Conference

Watched it. Loved it. On Sunday we watched the first session at home, went to the Day's and ate lunch/played guitar hero for the break, then watched the last session at the Harris'. It was a good day.

Colorado

Had a great time in CO last week during my spring break. Flew in on mom's bday and when we got home Wally and fam were there already. I loved seeing everyone together on a time that wasn't a holiday. Sadie was as cute as ever, she is always talking and says funny things all the time.

Happy Bday Mom!

The girls (me, mom, lindz, sadie) went to the Children's Museum

We also went to the car show. Wally always went with dad when he was younger, he left on his mission and I got to go with dad. This time we all went together.

Truck I want to test drive:

Fun Stuff

On Friday we went down to CD'A to the music walk. It wasn't quite what we thought. I thought it would be different bands and music along the main street but it was actually in art galleries and cafes. It was fun to look at the paintings and listen to different types of music though. I failed as a blogger and only took one picture, and it wasn't even of the actual activity, oops. But here is a picture of Rhett and Baby Summer walking to the next art gallery.

Saturday was craft night with the girls, and movie night for the boys. They watched Quantum of Solace while I made baby bows for a friend, Heather made cards and Britt made a book. It was fun, and it is always more fun making things when friends are around.

JOB!

Josh has been sending in resume after resume to law offices both here in Spokane and in CO for the past month. He got a call back yesterday from a law firm just a few blocks from Gonzaga. He will be doing a PAID internship there this summer. We are super excited because most first years don't get paid their first year but with Josh's ridiculously great skills he landed a job that's paid, woohoo! He will work about 20 hours and also be going to school and maybe doing an internship with the law clinic. SO although summer should be all about beaches and fun...i'm afraid it will be just as busy as the rest of the year. It will be nice to have a little extra income, mostly going to loans, but all the better for less to pay off after we are done! Good job Joshie!

Great Uncle Jerry 1934-2009

I may not have known you as good as I should, but I do know that you were loved and will be missed. You have lived in Roseville for 50 years plus. You were an honorable firefighter, church leader and family member. My dad tells me stories of when he was little and coming to see the fire trucks. You would even let him ride along sometimes. All the fire houses have their flag at half mast for you this week. I had my wedding shower at your house. I played with your grandchildren. When you and grandpa got weak you would walk around the park with your walkers together. I know you are free of pain now which is always a relief. I hope you had a good reunion with all of your family members. Say hi to grandpa for me.

Life

So it has been WAY too long since I last posted. I have been busy making an apron, going to Walla Walla, church stuff, taking care of Josh who has a cold, getting migraines like usual, birthday parties, and of course watching Lost, Survivor and The Office. Other than that, I am so happy that yesterday was the first day of spring, 50 degrees out and sunny. It was the first warm day of the year and I loved it, woohoo!

Here we are in Walla Walla. My cousin was taking this who I think is about 4 or 5, so it is a pretty good picture, and considering Sam and Cookie are both hiding on purpose didn't help. We are playing cards. I really didn't get many pics from the weekend, I was just being lazy, but the two hilarious videos below should make up for it.

We got to check out the Wii Fit. Cookie was showing us her Wii-Master skills on the super hula hoop game. She's really good at it. I love that Eli is talking in the back, like he did the entire time. He can talk for hours about superman and no one even has to really listen and he just keeps talking, its pretty funny.

Josh also doing the hula hoop. It was the funnest game to watch. I've never seen him move his hips so fast. The video turns, sorry. I could fix it, but I don't feel like it right now.

I have been super lame at taking pictures lately, I'll work on it. Have a great weekend everyone. I'm going to CO next week during my spring break, woohoo! Many pics of family stuff to come.

Last Weekend

I didn't ever update from this last weekend, so I thought I would do it now. On Friday we got together with friends and played a game called Headbanz. Its kind of like 20 questions where you guess a random person place or thing. But the coolest part is that you have to wear the thing you are guessing on your headband.

Saturday was a day of apron-making for me and studying for Josh. We also had a BBQ at the Harris' and then went to the temple that evening. The Spokane temple is pretty small, but it was so pretty. We had a great weekend.

And as a random note, whatever happened to the 80's plastic baby bike seats? You never see them around anymore, and they were so cool. The trailer is all you can buy now which is like 5 times the price, weight and size. Lame.

Apron #2

So I gave this apron away for an auction we are doing at the school I work at, but i loved the fabric! I hope whoever buys it will love it. But, good news, I will start making them for those who want one! They are $25 each and I will mail it to you. The shipping is included in the cost. Just let me know what colors you want or what type of pattern I will get it to you in about a week. All I can take now is checks, unless you have a better idea of payment? I am just starting out slow and hopefully by the time Josh graduates I can have a more stable business going for when I'm a mom!! Thank you all for your support :)
