The Halloween Festivities Begin...

So excited that this year Lyla is old enough to enjoy some of the fun things they have for kids around Halloween time. We went over to Wheeler farm with the Onofrios and checked out the festival.

They claimed there was a pumpkin "patch" but it was just an area with hay and little pumpkins thrown around on it. This was the only good pic I got of Lyla with a pumpkin...

One of her fav parts of the farm is they have a tree house there. She climbs up to the top level and peeks out and it melts my heart to see her little face just trying so hard to look out

I know I have 50 pictures of Lyla petting animals, but this one shows off that adorable little outfit she had on that day. What a cutie

Awful pic of both of us, but had to document the hay ride, which Lyla really enjoyed

Weekend at the Cabin

Last weekend we took a trip up to Idaho with the Onofrio's to Shelly's parents cabin. It was a great weekend with limited technology and lots of relaxation and nature.

The boys went shooting one of the days. Shelly's dad is in the army and has lots of guns, this one shown here is a M-4. Josh loved it and was surprisingly a good aim!

Hangin in the hot tub out on the back porch. Due to the baby in the belly I
only got to soak my legs, but it sure felt nice and the view was awesome. The babies LOVED it and thought it was so much fun swimming around in a big warm bathtub

A shot of the cabin from the back side. It was a very cute little cabin and
was great being right on the river

These two are best little buds. Miles is about 6 months younger than Lyla and not very mobile yet but they sure did have fun together

Miles gave Lyla a little smooch...

So Lyla felt she needed to return the gesture. Miles laughed and laughed
so Lyla just kept kissing him. It was so adorable :)
Me and the belly....getting so big!

Throwing rocks into the river. Lyla has quite the arm for such a little thing

Testing out the freezing cold water! Love her little toe just dipping in

We took turns cruising around in the razor

Benjamin LOVES playing the guitar so he was teaching Josh a few songs

Our first morning there; the kiddies checkin out the cool view. It was dark when we arrived the day before so they had to check everything out when they woke up
Even though the drive was long (7 hours) it was a nice getaway for the weekend and we had a great time getting to spend more time with the Onofrios without the hassle of getting babysitters and trying to rush home after dates or game nights

Quiet Book

I wanted to post this mostly because the people that I would want to show it to (mom, jenn, heather, britt) don't live in this state, so I decided to blog it. I think those are about the only people who read this anyway, haha. But here is the quiet book I made for
Lyla and future children

Front cover. The button is actually just a flap that comes around from the back of the book and has velcro on the back of it so lyla can easily open and close it herself

Shapes and Colors (balloons) that velcro on and off

I still haven't got a car, but this one is a road and a car will be attached
with a ribbon. The 'garage' is open on the right side so the car can be parked inside

The middle of the ladybug is a zipper and found inside are three baby ladybugs
My fav, the farm

The doors open up and 3 finger puppets are tucked inside

The wing lifts up and baby chicks are attached with velcro inside
Dress up the dolly with different outfits that velcro on

The blue envelope is for keeping her extra clothes

Last page, not my fav, but was easy to do and I was getting burnt out! The buttons can be moved up and down and is good for counting
It took forever but I'm glad I did it. Hopefully we will have at least 5 minutes
of entertainment for sacrament next week!

Josh's 30th Bday

Josh had his 30th birthday this past weekend! We had a little party with friends and family and enjoyed yummy food. Per Josh's request we had cheese fondue, meat on a stick, and then german choc cake for dessert

Making a goofball face while showing off his bday presents

We had a great turnout with the Days, Nelsons, Onofrios & Josh's brothers (and Libby). Tyler just happened to come visit that weekend and Davis also drove down to see everyone so it was fun to have all of Josh's brothers there with us.
(Notice I got to use the Bday banner for the 2nd time, 1st being for Lyla's bday. I was so happy that I got to whip it out again and put it to good use!)

Dancin

This was about a month ago but found it and thought it was cute. We went mini golfing and they were playing music from speakers on the ground. Lyla just stopped where she was as soon as she could hear it and decided to do a little jig with her golf ball. She wouldn't keep coming to the next hole with us until she felt like she got in enough dancing.

Just playin

Lyla's new favorite free toy. Nothin better than a box just your size

Couldn't capture the adorable face she made when she got it all on and felt pretty, but she looked too cute to not snap a shot anyway
Today I walked in to find these two hangin out in a fort that dad made for Lyla
Just playin and eating cheerios together

And a spaghetti face just for fun

Conference

Well, not too many pics of conference, but Friday night we had 4 boys (Davis & his 3 roommates) come down from BYU-I and sleep over. We had a delicious breakfast Sat morning and watched conf together. They headed off to the afternoon session and left to go home from there. Our little apt was crowded with so many beds in the living room but it was a lot of fun to have some young students around for a little bit.

Saturday evening Josh took off to priesthood session with Derek and Lyla and I made my grandma/dad's famous sugar cookies
Sneaking in a bite...

Sunday morning we took an investigator to the session. It was nice to show someone how amazing the church is and the huge crowd of members all gathered in one place. It was a great conference and the prophet was being super funny which is always a good change from the norm.

School Carnival

Last Friday Mary Nelson invited us to come to the school that she teaches at for a carnival fundraiser. It was a really fun evening with lots of fun activities for cheap!

Lyla's favorite part was the obstacle course. She looked so little crawling through everything and trying to climb up the slide at the end

Bounce house: most of the time she was the one getting bounced around by bigger kids but she still loved it and did not want to get out

With Quinn and Korbin on the little train. She has a lot of fun with these two cute boys and Korbin just absolutely loves playing with Lyla
