Lyla & Baby #2

Lyla- 18 months

*Says dada, hi, hey, ruff (for dogs), no, was dat, eye, ow
*Loves to color
*Babbles constantly and laughs randomly in between like she is telling a funny story
*Sassy
*Hates meat, loves fruit & cheese
*When she laughs hard she bends over and puts her hands over her mouth
*Loves to climb
*Silly faces- cheese smile, fat face with tongue out, surprised face, devious look
*Is a fish, swimming is her favorite and isnt afraid of the water
*Very independent, wants to do everything herself
*Runs instead of walks
*Drama Queen-when upset slowly lays down on the floor and just looks at you crying
*LOVES all dogs, always hugs and lays on Louie
*Electronics including phones, camera & laptop are preferred over all her toys
*Gives open-mouth kisses
*Sleeps about 11-12 hrs at night, 2-3 hr nap
*Daddy's girl 100%
*Doesnt like books read to her, but loves to look at them by herself
*When given a tissue wads it up and blows her nose on it
*Dances whenever music comes on
*Claps when she gets excited or hears other people cheer/clap
*Will get in and out Lyla-sized chairs repeatedly
*Feels so proud when she clips her carseat buckle
*Great at kicking a ball
*Can sign eat, more, please, fish
*Getting better at drinking from a cup and using utensils
*Folds her arms whenever we sit down to eat, ready for prayer
*Second name- Monkey
*Loves to take her shoes on and off, and to put other peoples shoes on their feet
*Loves to hug and carry around stuffed animals
*Makes everyone around her happy with her cute personality and loves to "ham it up" when she knows others are watching

Baby #2- 4 Months in the belly

*Can feel it moving every once in awhile
*Mom's belly is bigger than Lyla was
*Morning sickness is finally over
*Migraines once a week :(
*Finding out boy/girl in 15 days

Temple Square

A lazy Sunday afternoon we decided to stroll around temple square. Even though it was hot and made me a little cranky I couldn't ignore the wonderful spirit there. I'm so happy we can be an eternal family

Almanor Reunion 2011

Lyla got to hit the pinata this year! She liked it until it started swinging back at her

First boat ride. The only time she didnt like it is when dad was wakeboarding. She couldn't figure out why he kept disappearing into the water and why he wouldn't come sit by her

Another great year at Almanor! We had to come back a little early this year on Wed so Josh can take the MPRE on Friday...dangit. Lyla loved every minute of it. Since Jared didn't come she was the only baby there, the next up was Holland who is 6, so Lyla got LOTS of love and attention!

Big Helper

The day after the bar we decided to spend the day together and just relax. We took a little trip over to IKEA and got Lyla her own little table and chairs. She had to help dad put it together

She has crazy bedhead from having a pony before nap, haha. She loves the table and sits down at it constantly.

Bar Exam

Josh took the bar Tuesday & Wednesday, the 26th/27th. It was a grueling two days but we are all SO happy that its over! Josh is so amazing, his dedication and drive are so far above mine I don't even know how he does it. I am so proud to have a husband that works so hard for me!

Good job sweetie! Now its the waiting game until October when we get the results back....

CO Visit

Lyla & I went to visit Gma and Gpa in CO the weekend before the bar so dad could study without cute distractions at home.

Went to the Children's Museum

Swam, every day. She LOVED having her own little pool to splash around in in the back yard.

Reading the Sunday Comics

Liberty Park

Awesome park in salt lake we recently discovered. Its HUGE and has lots to do

A little stream area runs through park of the park and Lyla loved splashing around in it

Trip to Idaho

Tuesday & Wednesday Lyla & I went up to Idaho with Jen, Brookie & Kaylee to visit the Barney girls. Brittney was visiting her family and giving Rhett a week of peace for last minute bar study so we had to sneak up and see her.

While waiting for Brittney to meet us at her house Lyla jumped into the pool, clothes and all. It was just too tempting on that hot summer day!

Brittney's house that she grew up in. Good 'ol Shelley, ID. We got to take a little tour of the city before we left, it was a short one!

Swimming with Kurts Fam

Kurt and the kids came down today to bring Lyla some hand-me-down toys and to go swimming at our apt complex
