Happy Father's Day

I am a pretty spoiled girl, and I blame it all on these guys:
I have an amazing dad who has shown me how to be a hard worker, honest, patient, a good friend to others, and most of all, unconditional love. I am such a lucky girl to have a dad who loves me so much and cares about me the way he does.

I am also so lucky to have a husband who is an amazing dad to our little girl. Lyla is such a daddy's girl and I know its because of the way he makes her feel. When they play together it is the cutest thing to watch how much Lyla enjoys being with her dad and he can always make her laugh, even when she is tired and cranky. Josh is always willing to help take care of Lyla and never ever complains.

Happy Father's Day to the two men in my life who I love very much!

Graduation

After three years of hard work Josh finally graduated on May 14th. It was amazing watching them come into the stadium and just feeling overwhelmed with emotions of happiness and accomplishment. Josh worked so hard and graduated Cum Laude.

He not only did school, extra curricular like law review and moot court, but worked, served in the church, and did an amazing job balancing all of that and still taking care of his girls! We are so proud of him and even though it was a crazy three years, we already miss it, and our friends :)

Below: Josh getting "hooded" which represents completion of a graduate degree

This is the amazing family that came for support, minus Tyler and Mike
who were MIA during the picture
Congrats sweetheart!

Went to lunch afterward, at a local restaurant called Prospectors with all the family that came

Graduation Dinner

The night before Graduation, Friday, we had an awesome dinner with the 4 graduates, Josh, Andy, Rhett & Daren, and all of the family that was there to support them. It was about 50 people. We had hawaiian haystacks, watched a reminiscing video of pics from the past 3 years, and then took pics, which i have to post later.

Some of our fam that was there

It's hard to tell, but I made little signs for the cupcakes that said Class of 2011, and Congrats Grads. I think they turned out pretty cute
Some of the other decos there. I was in charge of the dinner and so I organized most of it and was a lot of work, but so worth it to get together with all of our friends and family and get to celebrate the boys

Packing Up

It has been a long couple of weeks preparing for the big move to Utah. Packing is one of my least favorite things to do, but good thing I had this wonderful little packing "helper" to get me through it.

She loved getting in and out, and climbing on top of all the boxes. She also thought that I was putting everything IN the box, just for her pleasure of taking it OUT.

Mother's Day

I woke up to breakfast in bed, lucky me! It was strawberry-cheesecake pancakes and delicious bacon

Went to church, spoke on Charity, it went pretty good, then that afternoon we headed off to Manito, my favorite park, for one last look at the beautiful flowers before we move and Lyla got to check out the ducks which she loved

I am so lucky to be a mother of this sweet little girl. I love her so much and can't imagine life without her. She is getting a stronger personality every day and does the cutest and sometimes most sassy little things.

Easter

We had a super busy Easter weekend, but was a lot of fun too!

Dyed eggs on Friday evening
Saturday morning was the ward party, and had an easter egg hunt at the end.

Then a nap squeezed in and then another hunt at the park with just our friends

Lyla loved getting the eggs, and once she saw stuff was inside, she only wanted them opened asap of course

Easter Sunday we gave out our baskets. Lyla got Play-Doh and some crayons since she is really loving to draw right now. Josh got me ladderball which i'm excited to try out this summer!

Easter Dinner

The yummy food, with our dyed eggs from Friday in a "bouquet" as a decoration
Made my first carrot cake, turned out pretty good, and was fun to use my new decorating skills to make the carrots on top

Our place cards for dinner, inspired by Jenn Hoff! :)

Photo shoot with Lyla's easter dress. I just couldn't resist, she looked too cute
