It's true, we made it through the first year alive, and Lyla Mae turned one yesterday at 6:11pm. It has been a great and amazing year and we have just loved watching this little girl grow up and turn into our little toddler who is walking around now like a pro.

ONE YEAR!
Weekend Getaway to CO
Josh was in a competition called Moot Court and went off to San Fran to compete this past weekend so Gma R couldn't stand for us to be alone and quickly made arrangements to have us visit. We had a great weekend, she bonded with Louie and had a couple of "firsts"
First time trying to plunge over death-defying heights
First time playing mozart on a piano, she loved it
First booster seat experience, no high chair tray, made it much easier to scoot things off the table onto the floor
She also met her best friend: Louie
Can you tell how much he loves her?!
Can you tell how much he loves her?!
Since it was only a week before her birthday she got to open an early present from gma
Also, Josh got 3rd place in the region, we were so proud of him. Only first goes on to nationals, but secretly we were a little happy it wasnt first because it has been taking a LOT of his time, energy, and thoughts the past few months!
Head Start
The past month or so I have started taking Lyla to Early Head Start. Our friends take their girls there and have been trying to get me to come for awhile now, and I finally decided that I should, and Lyla has loved it! She loves playing with the other kids and especially when they sing at the end. Its just once a week for 2 hours but its a nice break from the norm of playing at home.

Wild Walla Walla
YAY! Another wild weekend in Walla Walla. We went for Lydia's baptism and here's a little of what we did while we were there:
We baked so many cupcakes and goodies for the baptism we had absolutely no room for them in the house, so here's where they ended up, haha
Although barfing all night long and morning, Lyla was exceptionally happy and still loved playing with the kids anyway.
Lyla got to meet cousin Samantha for the first time, Sam loved it, until she got barf buckets too
Little Miss being cuter than ever even when she was so sick
The fam at the baptism. Got to see grandma too, which was great

-First road trip as a fam to OR for cousin Karli's wedding- went surprisingly well
-Moved to CO
-Lyla learned to roll and sit
-Introduced the bundle of joy to all the Green's at Almanor
-Started getting more sleep
-Moved back to Spokane, gma and gpa were sad
-Josh started his LAST year of school, whew! Busiest semester by far
-Big Red blew up, we had a funeral, and were graciously introduced to Stella the Stallion
-Crew was sealed to his fam, what an amazing blessing
-Lyla learned to crawl...therefore got into everything
-Farmer, duck and cow for Halloween
-Thanksgiving in Utah @ Aunt Penny's
-Lost more sleep due to teething....
-Had an amazing week and a half with the fam in CA for Christmas
We had a hard and challenging year with lots of ups and downs, but out of these challenges came patience and we learned to enjoy the small moments more than ever. Love for each other grew and found that the hardest challenges turn out to be the ones most worth it. As we finish up our last semester in school we are hoping 2011 to be one with success and rewards for the hard work done. I know that if we have faith that everything will work out and that this year can even be better than the last!

Christmas Vaca
Christmas in CA was amazing this year, it was super busy but also super fun. But before we left I got Lyla an adorable Christmas dress and snapped some pics in front of our own REAL tree. We have got a real one all 4 years of our marriage and don't plan on stopping for another 40+
The bottom left is my favorite, it is so her with one little hand on the tree and making that adorable face that she loves to make all the timeBest Friends reunited once again. Lyla loved Napoleon before and still does, only this time she can crawl after him, even better. She lights up and squeals every time she sees him. Its more of a one way friendship though....
