Lyla's Blessing Day!

Lyla was blessed in church yesterday and she looked beautiful! Josh did a great job, and she was awake during the blessing, but very content just looking around at all the men holding her. We had lots of family there and feel very blessed to have such a wonderful supportive family.
Here she is in her dress, which was bought by Grandma R

Our new little family of three!

This is all the men that were in the circle.
Uncle Todd, Rhett, Daren, Grandpa, Dad, Great Grandpa, Ty, Davis, Derek

Align CenterHere is all of the family that came! Since we don't have any family in town all of them had to travel to be there. A big thank you to everyone for making the sacrifice to be with us on Lyla's important day.

This is my cousin Lydia just beaming as Lyla gave her huge smiles! She has been smiling more and more this week and we are loving it.

And proud first-time Uncle Derek

She looks so pretty in her dress. ALOT of work went into getting Bailey to sleep!! When she was 4 months old she wasn't napping and would wake up every 2 hours at night. It was horrible. I read the book "healhty sleep habits happy child". It basically says what alot of the books say which is to let them cry it out and get them on a schedule. We started by putting her to bed earlier and making her cry it out till she feel asleep. It was the worst thing ever, but she learned to put herself to sleep! Then I worked on getting her morning nap onto a schedule and I would put her down exactly 2 hours after she woke up and again let her cry till she would go asleep. It was really hard, but like I said she is an amazing sleeper now and never cries when its time to go down. It took alot of work, but so worth it! You should get that book! It is really helpful cause it gives you several different options to choose from. So if you don't want to let them cry it tells you how to go about doing that and it helps you know when and how long they should be sleeping.
