Spring

We went downtown last Saturday and enjoyed watching Lyla run around Riverfront Park

She got to go on the carousel for the first time, it was a little scary but not too bad

Checkin out the big red wagon

Got out the window markers to try out some drawing, she loved it. I think the easter bunny might bring some crayons this year
First time drawing blood from playing outside. She was a trooper and only cried until we got in the house and then was over it and wanted to play again.
I think I was upset about it longer than she was, look at that poor little head

Girls Weekend

ast weekend Heather, Jenn, and Brittney and I ditched the kids and escaped to Seattle for a few days. It was so much fun to just enjoying being away and getting to spend time together before everyone goes their separate ways next month.

Girls Weekend (2011)

Saturday morning we went to the tulip festival just north of seattle, which brings in people from all over the country

We felt it necessary to take some beauty shots in those amazing flowers

After the tulip festival we went to lunch at Olive Garden and got some shopping down at the outlets right across the way.

Then we went back to the hotel to primp, and went downtown to eat at Cheesecake Factory

Days Inn comfort baby!

Sunday we drove home and stopped at Snoqualmie Falls on the way

It was a really great trip and we all had an awesome time together. We have helped each other out a lot since we have been in Spokane and I feel so blessed to have had them here as my fill-in family. It is going to be really hard to leave these girls after we have become so close over the past 3 years.

Conference Comparsions

I forgot to post this with the last post, so I just decided to do a new one. Here is a comparison of last years April conference and this year.

Dad looking a little sleep deprived and Lyla is so sweet and little

This year, Dad looking a lot more chipper and excited about this whole dad stuff. Lyla getting so big and chewing on toys/running around the whole time. Last year she couldn't even hold her head up :)

Anderson's/Conference Weekend

Once again we had a great weekend down in Walla Walla. We snuck down for the weekend for conference. It was april fools day on friday, so of course we couldn't go without pulling a prank. See video below

If you couldn't hear, the first thing Eli says "but hey, we just cleaned the house!"

Saturday we watched conference and in between had to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Lydia and Lyla were best buds and had lots of fun together

We checked out the park that's around the corner from their house

She got much love from everyone. Although she doesn't look that excited about it in this picture she really did eat up all the attention
Elijah is helping Lyla smile, haha

Bonding with Todd, she LOVES great uncle todd, he's cool

Not so sure about the Beiber Fever hair though
Saturday night we played games, check out how much fun Todd had. Its super shaky because I couldn't stop laughing

Sunday morning was a yummy breakfast and Lyla wanted to sit by Todd during conference and kept going over and sitting real close and then laying on him. If you only knew how rare this is for our little non-snuggler you would be surprised too! It was so cute

That afternoon we went to check out the progress on "THE SHOP" and the
new addition of the boat

It's shiny, and big, and we were just a teeny bit jealous :)
Last but not least, some cute videos for gma

Hard to hear because of the wind, but that little giggle is so precious

A Day at the Park

Today it was blue skies, sunny, and a high of about 52 degrees (which feels SO warm to us) so we decided to go check out the park

Lyla went down the slide for the first time

Summer helping push Lyla
Claire wanted to try on Lyla's sunglasses too
Jackpot: found a pinecone
I think that the park will be our favorite place this summer. Can't wait to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Lyla already learned that she loved it and cried when we got in the car....

Derek's Wedding

Went to Utah this past week. It was spring break for Josh and Derek's wedding. As always in the airport or on the plane people ask if its her first flight. Here's the update:

1st Flight: 3 months old
15 flights later our seasoned traveler is making sure to follow directions and read all the safety instructions:
Whew, thats a lot of traveling for one little girl, but i think we continue to do it because she has been an angel on every flight! Hope she keeps that up....

Now onto the trip:
Tuesday flew in, hung out with Cindy and went to dinner, then I went to the bridal shower. Wednesday was filled with job searching and errands getting ready for the wedding. That night we went to eat dinner with the Onofrio's (cant believe we didnt get a pic!) Was good to catch up and we are excited to move back to UT and see them more often. Thursday hung out and then went to dinner with Cindy, Wallys fam, and my parents at Mimi's.
Lyla and Crew caught up, talking about keeping balanced while walking and what kind of things around the house taste best

Sadie showing how to "open wide" for some yummy food

That night we went up to Penny's to stay so we could be closer to Logan. Jace and Justin LOVED playing with Lyla

Friday was the big day
Funny, kind of, story: Ty was supposed to be there to watch Lyla outside the temple. He was late, so in order to catch the sealing we had to hand off Lyla to a stranger (who happened to be waiting outside for a couple to come out and her name was also Lyla) for about 10 minutes in between before Tyler got there...all turned out ok though and Lyla didnt even seem to care or notice
Lyla enjoyed being outside and cruising the temple grounds. She found her shadow for the first time and kept looking back at it and trying to follow it, so cute.
Friday night was the dinner at the church, we ate fajitas and heard childhood stories about the couple

Saturday: During the day we took advantage of the sunshine and went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point

Lyla got her first PONY ride and loved it. Part of the time she was bouncing up and down with the horse and smiling away feeling so big
Put the girls in jail for awhile
Saw some funny lookin animals there:

Saturday Night: Reception

All the nieces and nephews. Derek's side: 1 Libby's Side: 12?

Good but busy weekend! Yay for bringing on more family and fun to the Green's

Curls and Pigtails

My dream has finally come true, Lyla's hair has
FINALLY got long enough for pigtails, well, kind of...

And sometimes after a bath you can squint and see a few curls in the back
