Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at my parents this year. Penny's family came, and Kathy was in town so she was there too.

Don't have any pictures from the actual dinner, but here we are with the pre-dinner activities.

Halloween

Here is the finished door/porch for this Halloween. I think it turned out great, but my favorite part was the pillows

It was hard to find a good family theme this year since now we have 5 of us, and the kids are getting more particular about what they dress up as. Lyla at first wanted to be Elsa from Frozen, but I convinced her being with the family and NOT being like every other girl in the neighborhood would be better. She went with it and so we ended up being the superhero family. Lyla also loved that her and Rock were matching with being Batgirl and Batman.

Here is the group of kids we went with this year, it was quite the crowd, but super fun for our first Halloween in this house!

Cutest Batman out there

Halloween Dinner

We decided to do a neighborhood Halloween dinner this year, so I went all out decorating the table. It was super fun to think of ideas and have it all come together.

I put a plastic clear plate on top of the white ones and put a picture in between. It was hard to tell though so everyone gave a second look before putting food on their plate, ha

Here is the group that came. It was a lot of fun, and we had a great time chatting the night away and having good food to go with it

Cornbelly's

We did our annual tradition of going to the Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. The kids have fun every year, and loved it more than ever this year since they are getting a little older and enjoy the activities they have.

I think the best part was this cool slide. The kids went several times and loved it.

Ty came with us too. Just about to leave on our hay ride

Davis Gets Married

Davis and Julia got married this week. The night before was a dinner that they asked me to be in charge of. It was stressful, and a lot of work, but at the end I was happy with how it turned out, and I think that they were too.

Here is a picture of the backdrop and sign I did for the head table.

The table and centerpieces

They got married on October 17th, in the Timpanogos temple.

The reception was at a golf course banquet hall in Orem, and was gorgeous. Here is a quick family picture we got out in the back.

Preschool Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

We went to the local pumpkin patch with Lyla's preschool. They got to climb up on multiple tractors, go through a corn maze, and pick out pumpkins.

The mini wheelbarrows were their favorite part

Fall Drive

We wanted to check out all the fall leaves so after church today we took a drive up Provo Canyon and walked around. It was fun to feel the beautiful weather and talk about why the leaves were changing with the kids.

Me and my boys, sweeter than ever

Throwing rocks

And because its a fall post, wanted to add in our own fall leaves right in out own back yard! It was fun to watch our own trees change colors for the first time since we just planted the trees a few months before.

Family Pictures

We were due for a new family picture since we didn't get ones done since Rockwell was born. I love capturing the kids as they grow each year.

I like this one because of Mac and Josh being so cute, but I wish Rock was smiling because he is usually constantly happy and smiling and I wanted to capture that. Otherwise, love this one.

Somehow we got Lyla to give her best smile, and not quite so fake in this one

Not her best smile, but I love the lighting and how it really shows the color of her hair. She has a gorgeous auburn color that I hope she keeps as she gets older.

This is a typical McKay face, being silly and slightly shy at the same time

Cheesey smile but the sweet look in his eye captures his tender, kindhearted side that he typically has

And my sweet Rockwell will his model baby stare and smirky smile

My three babies. All three dont have good smiles, but the cuteness pouring from this picture of them all together melts my heart every time I see it.

Me and my sweetie.
We hardly ever get pictures of just us two, so it was nice she threw some in for us:)

Lyla starts Preschool

Here we are at year two of preschool already. Although she doesn't look too happy in this picture, she was excited as usual to go to school. We found out that her teacher last year (Laurie) has a sister (Karie) that also does preschool and does the same program and she lives in Riverton. Since that is only about 10 minutes from us, we decided to go there. She goes M,W, F from 9:15-11:25.

Here's to a new year, and the last one out of public school!
